THE PROCESS
Design should feel calm and considered — and so should the journey. Our process is structured, collaborative and tailored to each project, guiding you from first conversation to final installation with clarity at every stage.

01. Discovery
We begin with an initial consultation to understand your property, lifestyle, priorities and timeline. This is where we define the brief, establish the level of service you need and outline the scope of the project.
02. Site Visit
Where possible, we recommend a site visit at an early stage, regardless of the point the property has reached in its development. Being within the space allows us to understand the nuances of the architecture, the flow between rooms and the way natural light moves throughout the day.
This insight is essential to informed space planning and interior design decisions, ensuring layouts, proportions and furnishings respond naturally to the property rather than being imposed upon it.

03. Fee Guidance & Proposal
Following the site visit and a clear understanding of your brief, we provide guidance on the level of design involvement required and the associated fees.
This ensures transparency from the outset and allows the scope of the project to be defined accurately.
A detailed proposal is then prepared for approval, outlining the agreed services, timescales and next steps.
Once approved, the design phase can begin.
Where required, we return to site to carry out detailed surveys, photography and measurements of key areas.
This information, combined with the agreed brief, forms the foundation for a precise and well-resolved design process.
04. Space Planning & Research
The creative process begins with the development of considered floor layouts and key elevations, refining existing plans where necessary to improve flow, proportion and usability. This stage establishes the spatial framework of the project and ensures the layout supports both function and lifestyle.
Alongside this, we undertake detailed research into furnishings, materials and finishes, integrating these elements to scale within the plans to test balance and visual harmony from the outset.
Where appropriate, this phase may also involve reviewing structural opportunities to enhance circulation and maximise the value of the space, before progressing to elements such as flooring, lighting, ceiling detailing and bespoke joinery.

05. Presentation
The developed layout and overall design direction are presented either in person at your property or through a structured digital presentation. This stage is focused on clearly communicating the vision, allowing you to fully understand the proposed flow, atmosphere and character of the space.
Design concepts are illustrated through curated mood boards, spatial layouts and, where appropriate, photorealistic visualisations. These are supported by carefully selected material references, enabling you to understand the quality, finishes and key touch points within the scheme.
All layouts are shown to scale, with principal furniture pieces positioned in situ, ensuring the design is easily understood in terms of both spatial function and lifestyle.
06. Detail Joinery & Design
Following layout approval, the design is developed in detail designs through precise drawings and specifications, allowing for accurate costing and coordinated delivery.
Detailed plans and schedules allow us to coordinate effectively with contractors and other professionals, ensuring the design intent is delivered consistently throughout the project.

07. Specification & FFE
A structured specification process ensures all finishes, furniture, fittings and equipment are clearly defined and aligned with the approved design. Detailed schedules support informed decision-making, accurate costing and a smooth transition from design to implementation.
Where appropriate, documentation can be used for tendering purposes, allowing quotations to be assessed objectively while ensuring the design intent and level of finish are maintained throughout.
This stage also allows key elements to be refined, ensuring durability, quality and visual balance are considered alongside practicality.
08. Onsite design support
For projects involving building or refurbishment works, ongoing site support can be provided as an additional service. This allows us to oversee the delivery of the interior design and ensure finishes, details and key elements are installed in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
Site visits and on-site support are charged separately from the design fee and are arranged as required. This level of involvement helps maintain design integrity, supports the contractor team and ensures the completed interior reflects the intended quality and detail of the scheme.

09. Furnishing supply & Installation
As the project progresses, we curate a comprehensive inventory of furniture, furnishings, lighting, artwork and accessories, ensuring every element aligns with the approved design and overall vision. This stage brings the interior together in a cohesive and considered way.
Through our established network of suppliers and specialist manufacturers —
we are able to source and commission pieces that elevate the scheme while maintaining quality and consistency throughout.
This integrated approach allows the design to be realised efficiently and to a high standard.
We also offer a full installation and styling service, overseeing delivery, placement and final detailing.
From large furniture pieces to the smallest finishing touches, the interior is installed and styled as a complete, ready-to-live-in home.
