The brief for this project was to infuse vibrant new life and create extraordinary interiors in an abandoned motel perched in a stunning location at the top of the valley, overlooking Ruthin. This project is proud to be an award-winning interior, recognized with the SBID Award in 2023.

Every bedroom needed to be a unique masterpiece, each offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience with interiors that cater to everyone's personal taste. From dark, moody, and dramatic to light and beachy, every detail was specified down to the accessories, all within a strict budget.

The communal areas also had to provide a distinct experience in each space, whether it be the elegant dining room, a cozy lodge retreat lounge, or the exciting man cave games room.

LWE Interiors was approached to breathe new life into a long-neglected building in Halkyn.

This Grade II listed former Church School House has been transformed into a boutique hotel and holiday let, blending historic character with contemporary comfort.

Working closely with the client and their business plan, we developed a truly unique boutique hotel interior, specifying all finishes in accordance with listed building guidelines and providing comprehensive interior design and specification throughout.

Extensive Conversion of Church into a Luxury Residential Property

Experience an exquisite 'quiet' luxury vibe that permeates every corner! The natural tones and light textures come together to craft a stunningly dramatic yet understated luxury aesthetic throughout the interiors. One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was watching the interiors take shape almost exactly as envisioned in the concept designs. It’s always a special moment seeing drawings and moodboards evolve into real spaces that people can live in and enjoy.

The double-height lounge and mezzanine became a true showpiece, capturing the building’s volume and character while creating a stunning, memorable interior that leaves a lasting impression.

Perhaps the most fulfilling transformation, however, was the conversion of the old Sunday School hall into a swimming pool and SPA. Working closely with contractors, who followed the detailed drawings and specifications I developed, brought this vision to life beautifully. The result was a space that embodies both luxury and tranquillity — a highlight of the project for everyone involved.

LWE Interiors was asked to redesign an old cottage that had stood neglected for several years at the end of a street in Llandudno wales.

The client wanted to use 'Tudor' Cottage as a holiday home for weekends away for family & friends.

The budget was very strict, and included a full refurbishment of all the Ground floor, & bedrooms, we used Salvage wood to create rustic elements as well as uncovering an original old wall which we transformed into a design feature bringing in a holiday vibe & fresh new look to what was once the worst house on the street.

Elegance Aesthetics' Clinic in Worsley is an exciting transformation from a simple office building into a stunningly beautiful salon designed for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation! We envisioned a modern and subtly luxurious clinic, featuring clean, natural, and textured interiors, turning a plain and basic office space into a lavish spa salon.

Concept

The design concept takes inspiration from exclusive vacation spa retreats, translating their sense of luxury, calm, and escape into a dedicated men’s wellness environment. The space has been designed to feel refined and restorative, offering a balance between strength and serenity.

Materials & Palette

A carefully curated palette grounds the design in nature:

• Warm wood elements bring organic texture and richness.

• Soft stone tones introduce a sense of calm and balance.

• Textured finishes layer depth and tactile interest.Together, these materials create a welcoming atmosphere that feels both masculine and sophisticated.

Lighting

Mood lighting is central to the spa’s ambiance. A combination of concealed LED features, wall washing, and soft, indirect illumination is used to create a soothing environment, guiding guests seamlessly through treatment and relaxation areas.

Atmosphere

The overall experience is calming, rejuvenating, and immersive. By harmonising natural finishes with thoughtful lighting, the spa becomes a place where guests can disconnect, recharge, and indulge in the luxury of time for themselves.
